The Shape of Things to Come is the Research Triangle Region's strategic plan for economic growth and competitiveness during the five-year period of 2009-2014.
The plan builds on the previous five-year plan, called Staying on Top: Winning the Jobs Wars of the Future, which sparked creation of 100,000 jobs by promoting specific priorities, including life sciences, global competitiveness, and rural job creation.
