Support for Workforce Development
Workforce development boards across the 13-county region help companies recruit and retain talent and provide customized training, labor market information and rapid-response teams to provide transition aid for layoffs and closings.

- Job Posting and Recruiting - Posting available positions, interviewing on or off-site, and access to job seekers who want to work now.
- Focused Industry Training - Targeted training or re-training based on the current or changing job descriptions of businesses.
- Rapid Response - Employee assistance for downsizing and company closure.
- Labor and Industry Trends - Information on work availability, employment trends, wage rates and industry
projections.
- Skills Testing - Identifying gaps between student skills and employer needs, and testing to improve skill levels and strengthen communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Incumbent Workforce Development Program - Direct assistance to employers confronted with the need for new and upgraded worker skills that are necessary to maintain or increase their competitiveness in the global economy.
